I thought I would share this with everyone. First off, I ran the GSA at my high school and helped run the GSA for the city. I've dated more guys than girls. I've helped numerous people come out and so many more with personal problems. All this time, my parents never knew. The whole city knew I was and knew that my parents could never find out. My mother helps run the anti-homosexual community here. She's even gotten me T-shirts and such things against gays.
I went to a Tech school away from home for a year. About 1,500 miles away. During this time I met alot of people and helped so many. Eventualy I knew it was time they found out. I called my mom and told her I was. All the guys that used to spend the night wasn't just to hang out. They were all my boyfriends. She said she found out one day when after dropping me off at summer school years back. She saw me turn the corner and take a hot pink top out of my bag and saw the rainbow colored earring I was wearing at school.
She said she was not okay with it. Never to tell my father and never tell any of our family. But then she said, "she won't criticize me for it. We are growing up in a new time and a new generation. People are more open with themselves and can express who they are and the people who are against it are going to have to figure that out."
Anyways, this all happened around winter of 2008.
