I was talking to my AP Chemistry teacher the other day, and some guys got people to sign two of the greatest and funniest petitions that I have ever heard of in my life.
The first one that we talked about was a petition to get DiHydrogren Monoxide out of our lakes, rivers, and oceans. How it killed so many people every year! I don't know how many people signed it, but a lot apparently did.
The second one that we talked about was a petition to get rid of Woman Suffrage. How woman don't need all of the suffrage that they get. Apparently, even more people signed this one than the DiHydrogen Monoxide petition.
If you really think about these. They're very funny!

LOLZ!!
I am amazed how many people sign things they don't have any clue about, most likely to sound smart. xD This could cause problems if anyone ever decided to exploit our stupidity in this way!!

Very true, alice. Most people, it seems, will sign anything without reading the "fine print," which more often than not, gets them in trouble. Not reading petitions doesn't quite have the negative effect not reading a contract does, though (especially silly ones like banning DiHydrogen Monoxide or Woman's Suffrage).

I agree, H2O can be a real pain sometimes. I used to drink Dihodomonoxide, AND LOOK AT ME NOW!

And it's funny because they made the mistake of thinking Woman's suffrage was the same as Women's suffering.

You're sure people didn't sign these for laughs? I would.

I'm pretty sure there were a few people who signed these for the laughs.

Yeah, you're right, LonelyArtist, I'm sure quite a few people would sign these things just because they're hilarious. Come to think of it, I probably would. =P

Although...maybe we should get rid of dihydrogen monoxide. I mean, if you drink it for a year, if you quit you'll die in a week! Do we want that kind of drug in our systems? And we give it to our children!

You're absolutely right. We've got to do something about it!
