Yeah. I'm thinking I'll try out just for the costumes!

Really? But it's so much better than the vivid costumes!

Well, I'm in. But I'm just a chorus member. Again. But what could I do? The director's daughter got Fiona, the female lead, and all her friends got really good parts, too. I guess maybe it's just coincidence. They're pretty good, I guess. *sigh* I had spent two and half weeks working up my audition.

Aw. Poor lovey. Better luck next time! -hugs- You can always work on your Witchcraft 'til the next audition. That way, if you don't get the part, you could send flying monkey pigs and apple pie to the director's house to eat him! =D

Hey, the chorus is still good. It's definitely something to put on your resume for future shows!

Lol @ alice.
Better luck next time, and I'm sure you will do well as a chorus member this time.

We're done! We just had the last showing tonight.
To be honest, I'm really glad it's done. The play was a Wit's End production, which is basically a play we put on every year during Western Days, which is our town festival week (even though we're in Minnesota?). But Western Days is also the week where the marching band goes through a "camp" every morning at 7 a.m. (which, I admit, is WAY better than the 6 a.m. we did before last year) to drill for the parade at the end of the week (Saturday).
With 7-9 mornings of intense marching drills, stretches, and this year's Thriller dance drill (we'll be doing it for our Homecoming field show) combined with four showings of Brigadoon, every muscle in my body hurts and I need a week's sleep. Plus, with Western Days' activities...well, I'm VERY glad that both marching band and Brigadoon are over forever.
The show went well. I had one line. It was when Charlie came into Jeanie's house and asked where she was. I respond with "In her room." Then, when I bring a pair of bloomers back to Jeanie's room for mending or something, he grabs them out of my hands and holds them up to the audience and says "I can hardly wait for the wedding!" I then snatch them away and stomp back to Jeanie's room. I was also in the Bonnie Jean and a wedding scene dance.
So it's been a long time since anyone else posted on this thread. How did Alice in Wonderland go, Gamoc? Or going? I have no idea how long your practices ran/run.

Technically it hasn't started, but I am dropping the show and picking up a musical at my school. We are doing White Christmas. I figured White Christmas was probably more important than Alice in Wonderland because in White Christmas my chances of getting a lead are much higher!

I've never heard of that one, but good luck!
